About Charlie Choc
Stalking Light Photography features the images of fine art photographer Charlie Choc.
Photography gives Charlie an opportunity to combine his love of the outdoors with his love of photography, and he spends his time chasing light around the country.
His specialties are photographing the Smoky Mountains, the desert southwest and the greater Yellowstone area.
He is fortunate to have won various awards and his work has been published in books, on magazine covers, calendars and in newspaper articles. He is a member of the Georgia Nature Photographers Association, is active in online photography sites, and is a moderator on several Nikonians forums.
Being able to experience and explore the natural world in pursuit of these ends is truly a wonderful thing. As the years take their toll on our bodies it seems more and more of the wild places are inaccessible to us, but that is as it should be, and the wild must be kept wild for future generations to enjoy. We must always remember that this beauty is not only here for us to appreciate but also for us to preserve.
His camera bag contains two Nikon D800E bodies and a D4s, as well as 14-24mm, 17-35mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm VR II, 105mm VR, 28-300mm VR, 200-400mm VR II, 600mm VR II and 16mm fisheye Nikkor lenses. In addition he has a Panasonix Lumix DMC-GH3 micro 4/3 camera, and 7-14mm, 12-35mm and 100-300mm Lumix lenses to carry on longer hikes and motorcycle trips.
